Designed to Be Trusted With Money
A German fintech startup building broker comparisons, financial education, calculators, and a social trading community. Their own AI-generated mockup looked exactly like what it was, generic and untrustworthy for a product that handles people's money. Witsberry advised on the tech stack and designed and built the full product from scratch, then handed over a complete design system so their internal team could keep building without us.

Finanzente's team was strong on backend, weak on the frontend and design decisions that make a financial product feel trustworthy, both needed covering.
The mockup's problem wasn't details, it was the generic foundation underneath it. Polishing it would have kept the thing that made it look untrustworthy.
Finanzente's internal team had to keep extending the product without Witsberry in the loop, which only works if the patterns are documented, not just implemented.
Finanzente's internal team was already building the hard part: broker comparison data, financial education content, calculators, and the backend for a social trading platform. What they'd put together for the front-of-house design was an AI-generated mockup, and it showed. For a product asking people to plan their finances around it, generic and AI-looking was worse than having no design at all.
Rather than just take a build brief, Rikaz scoped the engagement as advisory on top of delivery: recommend the tech stack, design the full product from scratch in Figma, build the production frontend in Next.js, and hand over a complete design system so Finanzente's own team could keep extending it after Witsberry stepped away.
Broker comparison is table stakes for a finance site, every competitor has one. We designed a guided 3-question broker finder that sits on top of the filterable table, recommending a broker instead of leaving someone to parse 30+ rows of fees and regulation on their own.
The rest of the scope: an education content system, five financial calculators (compound interest, savings plans, ETF costs, capital gains tax, crypto tax), and a premium dashboard with live portfolio charts, allocation breakdowns, dividend tracking, and price alerts.
The social layer, Trader Hub and Community, tracks trader win rates and live trading setups against real price movement, not just a chat feed bolted onto a finance app.
Finanzente's team went from an AI-generated mockup to a production Next.js frontend backed by a full design system, delivered as a fixed-price engagement between March and June 2026 while their backend team built in parallel.
We help founders and operators make the right technical decisions, the ones that save money, ship fast, and hold once real users show up.
Get my free readiness reportA German financial research and education brand rebuilt off Beehiiv entirely: website, financial dashboard, custom CMS, custom email platform, and a Telegram-bot-run premium community, with every subscriber and every article carried over.
A licensed Qatar ride-hailing app for Hello Limousine, a limousine company running thousands of drivers and cabs, built after other vendors left them with an app they didn't fully own. Architected from day one to launch in a new GCC country in minutes, not months.
A Doha-based Web3 social network built for Ismail, a top-3 Binance Live streamer with 150,000+ followers, so his community had a legitimate crypto project to join instead of another token to speculate on. Built in 90 days, run on retainer for two years, acquired by Cryptala.
